Fátima Bosch of Mexico won the 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant on Thursday night at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Bangkok, Thailand. Where 120 countries competed for the crown. The first runner-up position went to Praveenar Singh of Thailand, ending the host nation’s hopes of securing a home victory.

The second runner-up title was awarded to Stephany Abasali of Venezuela, followed by third runner-up Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines and fourth runner-up Olivia Yacé of Côte d’Ivoire. The announcement prompted mixed reactions from the audience, particularly after the Philippine candidate failed to make it further in the competition.
